The Joint Parish Council pursues and implements policies that safeguard and enhance the environment of the town, and promotes business in the Parish. The Council encourages its residents to participate in all matters that affect the town and time is allocated for public participation in all its meetings.
Each year, the Parish Council awards up to 20% of its total income from Council Tax to local charities and voluntary organisations which assists in maintaining that a thriving selection of activities are available for residents and visitors. Major beneficiaries include the Henley War Memorial Trust who oversee a range of sporting and recreational facilities for all ages together with the management of the Memorial Village Hall in the centre of the town. The newly formed community library was formed when the previously County Council managed provision was threatened with closure due to cut backs. Other beneficiaries include the Henley in Bloom Team, who ensure that a vibrant display of flowers and plants deck the High Street during the summer months, and the Christmas lights committee.
Council Election 2015
The next round of elections for Parish Councillors will be held in May 2015. The original date following a four year cycle for parish elections, was brought forward from 2016 due to an electoral review of Parishes in 2012. The elections are administered by Stratford on Avon District Council.

Parish Council Office provides the official contact for anyone who wishes to communicate with the Joint Parish Council. It is also our Administrative Centre that carries out all office activities and co-ordinates the Joint Parish Council’s programme.
Opening times for the public are shown below. There is an answer phone for use out of office hours or for when the clerk is out on other business.
